My wrestling journey, a thrilling adventure, began long before I even considered stepping into the ring. From the tender age of eight, I was deeply immersed in acting, involving myself in plays and voice work. This early stint in the entertainment industry provided a solid foundation in character development, which is pivotal in professional wrestling.
Character development isn’t just crucial in wrestling; it’s the very essence of the craft. Wrestling fans aren’t merely passive observers—they’re perceptive and quick to detect discrepancies in a wrestler’s actions. A well-crafted character, or “gimmick,” must reflect your essence, beliefs, and, critically, what you oppose. Any deviation without just cause can alienate the audience rapidly.
